Minty

Still cold, freezing actually. Still bleak and grey, even during the day. Even when there is a bit of sun, it's still not spring. One of the colors that has been getting me through the blech months and which also transitions nicely to spring is; mint.

1. Angora beanie from Cos. 2. Acne Rica mohair cardigan. 3. Mermaid's tears nail polish from Opi. 4. Business cards holder from Renske Versluijs. The cardy and beanie will hopefully be put away some time soon for next winter. My fave polish was used today for mommy and me manicure Mondays. The iPhone case instead of the card holder, as I just feel so pompous using business cards.

I want to ride my bicycle

Zoe Isobel and hopefully later on Mika will be riding the convertible balance bike from Wishbone. Limited edition apple-a-day print. I love the fact that it goes from three to two wheels, has an adjustable seat height, is made of wood and totally looks cool. It has had pride of place in our living room since Zoe Isobel's second birthday six months ago and that is saying a lot.

However now that she can and enjoys peddling, it makes me think of her next bike. Especially after seeing this limited edition tricycle from James Perse. Makes me one to be a little California tike on a trike.

Loud and clear

I listen to my own music while driving, which makes a good headset a must. I say headset because I have yet to find a pair of earphones that did not make my ears hurts after ten minutes. I first had a purple Urbanears Plattan and now have a Zinken in pumpkin. Infinitely more comfortable because of the larger ear pads (hey in ear pads, the larger the better). Plus more durable and better constructed.

1. My set; the Zinken model from Urbanears. 2. Stylish in rose gold, the Taylor from Frends. 3.Uber Trรจs chic is the Pleat from Molami.

Wooden bags

I saw, doubted and subsequently can no longer find the french connection wooden clutch that sparked my love of wooden bags. They have new versions in the current collection, but these I find alas not as lovely.

1. French connection clutch. 2. TeslerMendelovitch wood clutch. 3. Not technically solid wood or a bag, but we must not forget the tech gear. iCorkCase from Pomm design studio.

Shut up and decorate

I have always enjoyed gift giving, especially wrapping them and making them look pretty. Angles, folds, ribbons and bows will always be part of the arsenal, but I really adore washi tape (for quite awhile now) and my new favorite; old-fashioned wooden stamps. They make me want to start sending cards again.

The stool is an ancient thing I dug out of the garage and that has been used during every paint job inside and out for the past thousand years. A bit of left-over paint and some tape and it is now an extra stepladder for Zoe Isobel to wash her hands in the kitchen etc. (the dark shot is from my crappy Sony digital camera, grrrh).

OMG via..

Logotype

When I saw a couple articles including pics about new brand & other Stories from the H&M group, I was immediately sold. I believe one of the shoe designers was poached from my beloved Acne, which explains my love of among others things the shoe collection. Just the few examples were enough to get me to sign up to be kept in the loop. Resulting in 'pre-opening access' to the web shop which officially opens tomorrow.

I adore so much of the stuff. Trendy, but better cut, edgier, crisper and hopefully not of throw-away quality. The shoes are lovely and I can't wait for summer so I can feel more justified in purchasing some of the lovely wedges, sandals and open shoes. The clothes are great, as are the bags but I most adore the accessories and jewellery. My hands are a itching and my fingers are a twitching.
