Hats off; bedroom storage vignette

Love my space, love my gear, so what do you do when your gear is squished in your space? You make the storage better of course! 

And what do you do when the storage is by way of slightly bland..ahem I mean blank slate basics? You blend, blend and prettify. This spot is multi-purpose being good for pictures as this is where I showcased my black suede boots.

It contains, what else, ..hats and beanies. These ended up squished somewhere in the back of the closet. A crime because nothing is worse than a funked-up hat except a funked-up hat you can’t find. Also in there are the bags that don’t fit in the closet because of their size. 

A centimetre tight fit and same )non-'color makes it look planned and part of the actual closet space. But the best part and purpose; plain old good-looking. I love this nook under the eaves. With a simple frame holding a necklace package I keep moving around my space because it’s so pretty and subtle. 

The rotelamp that half-hidden casts beautiful shadows over the top and around the corner. A little extra concrete candlelight, a midnight-purple orchid, the books I can’t wait to get to, a handmade vase from Singapore and a little reminder of how precious time is. This spot is function meets form.
